The castle Wartburg has been renovated throughout its existence with many earlier parts being overbuilt by later constructions and additions.
This Romanesque Palace is the oldest of the buildings.

First the good news:
The course had more than 3,000 height meters, which I could climb well.
I finished the brevet in a satisfactory time.
The less good news:
12 kms before the target I had a damage which I could not repair. The last 12 kms I have run on foot and have pushed the couch! :-)
